Who We Are

Thunder Elite joined Powerhouse Hoops, based out of Phoenix, AZ in 2018. We needed more exposure for our players nationwide, Powerhouse Hoops gives us this. We are still under Thunder Athletics, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our main goal is and always has been, is to help all our players become better players, students and human beings. Thunder Athletics was started in 2012.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Thunder Athletics to empower young people through servant leadership and positive coaching principles to overcome the challenges that youth face today. Powerhouse Hoops is dedicated to creating positive role models by using basketball as one of our many venues. We will focus our funding, time and energy into committed grass roots philosophies that instill our youth with leadership skills, decrease juvenile delinquency, alleviate poverty and foster respect for one another.
